Portugal's Silver Coast recommended to investors
Property investors who are considering buying a house in Portugal have been advised to look away from the more established areas.
ShelterOffshore.com stated that up and coming areas such as the Silver Coast were much more affordable than other parts of the country, such as the Algarve.
The website stated that although the Algarve was a beautiful region, it was the most expensive part of Portugal "bar none".
Therefore, it recommended that investors look further north, where they would be able to find many reasonably priced properties.
ShelterOffshore.com said: "You can still move away from the airports and find an exceptional climate and some great real estate that remains accessible."
Investment prospects in the region are set to be boosted further with the opening of a new airport in Alcochete.
The facility should be up and running by 2012 and is will open up the market to a larger number of holidaymakers and foreign property buyers.
