Property investors rediscover financial potential of market
Investors are beginning to view the property market as a money making opportunity again, particularly those looking to buy-to-let, according to propertyabroad.com.
The site's monthly list of most popular destinations saw Germany shoot up the rankings prompting optimism about the property markets potential for investment.
Lifestyle buyers took a back seat in terms of market activity in December as the popular destination of Turkey dropped two places down the rankings.
However, this was an improvement on France which fell four places from 5th to 9th place.
Propertyabroad.com said: "It would seem to show that investors are returning and beginning to outnumber lifestyle buyers once again... Germany is only ever the choice of the buy to let investor."
Turkey is expected to benefit from being outside of the eurozone as a destination for investment and tourism in 2010. Economic stability is beginning to return to the country after a sustained period of interest rate cuts and the exchange rate between the pound and the Turkish lira is performing extremely well.
