Revenue from each tourist '500 euros'
The average amount of revenue created from each tourist that visits Bulgaria stands at around 500 euros (£336) in 2007, according to new data released by the Bulgarian Tourist Chamber.
Having cited data from the World Tourism Organisation, the body said that last year, revenue from a tourist was 490 euros, reports the Sofia Echo.
By comparison, average revenue generated from a tourist in Europe was 600 euros, while across the world it was 650 euros, the figures stated.
Moreover, the most popular resorts for those visiting the country are Golden Sands, Sunny Beach and Albena.
In addition, the average price of a three-star hotel in Bulgaria is about 20 to 22 euros, according to figures from investor.bg, the paper reported.
Bulgaria is most popular with French and German tourists, the publication also stated.
