Romanian entrepreneurs 'urged to expand'

With the Romanian market in good health, local entrepreneurs are being encouraged to expand further into the country and even into the rest of Europe.

These views came out of the seminar organised by Ziarul Financiar, Banca Comerciala Romana, Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) and Petrom.

Moreover, there are also many opportunities for expansion into neighbouring countries, according to one expert.

That is the view of Manuela Nestor, managing partner at NNDKP. In addition, Romanian firms are getting stiffer competition from foreign companies on their own soil.

Chief executive at BCR Nicolae Danila stated that the market in the country is attractive.

"The Romanian market remains an extremely attractive environment for foreign investments, which will seek to take advantage of the good risk/benefit ratio," she commented.

Many companies have seen massive expansion in the country in the last decade or so as the economy has grown, reports zf.ro.

The renowned food chain Hard Rock Cafe recently announced that it is to open a venue in Romania.
