Russian buyers drawn to Spain
Spain has been identified as a popular market among foreign property investors in Russia.
According to Global Edge, the European country is proving to be an attractive option for Russian buyers because of its sun, sea and good quality of life.
The organisation expressed surprise at the findings, due to the fact that the two nations are geographically far apart and share few cultural connections.
Spain was the subject of 15% of online searches made by prospective Russian buyers, making it the main centre of interest.
The country was recently named as the most popular foreign property market among Britons by Conti Financial Services.
Global Edge also found that eastern Europe is one of the main hotspots for Russian buyers, with Montenegro in particular proving to be an appealing choice.
Figures from the group showed that nearly 6% of all internet searches related to this country.
