Ryanair launches new flights
A low-cost airline has announced that new services to several European countries will begin later this month.
Ryanair is launching up to 70 new flights to countries including Spain, Germany and Italy, some of which will serve regional airports in the UK.
This should significantly boost accessibility for tourists, business travellers and overseas property investors.
Among the new routes are services to Barcelona, Madrid, Pisa and Valencia, Ryanair stated.
Peter Sherrard, head of communications at Ryanair, commented: "These 70 new routes will deliver Europe's lowest fares to over 5 million additional passengers next year and will provide a massive boost to tourism across Europe."
This comes alongside new figures from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which showed an increase in passenger numbers this year.
Research found that international passenger demand during August was 8.6 per cent higher than 12 months before.
IATA said this showed that people had recovered from last year's security scares on the North Atlantic.
