Spain development 'the start of a property career'

A Spanish building renovation proved to be the start of a career in making money out of property for European aristocrat Baron Jean van Gysel, it has been reported.

Business Intelligence Middle East highlights how the development of a property in the Andalusian village of Vejer de le Frontera set the hotel owner on his way to earning millions.

Baron van Gysel is said to have mixed modern elements with the old architecture to create "a stunning boutique hotel and a genuine retreat" in the area.

Since then, he has developed a number of tourism hotspots in Brussels, Spain and other parts of the world.

His latest project - V...Greece - which will be built in Dubai as part of Nakheel's The World project is said to be a "vision of beauty inspired by light and water".

A former Wall Street banker, Baron van Gysel is the owner of Hotel le Plaza in the Belgian capital of Brussels.
