Spain lifestyle 'popular for British'

Because of the lifestyle choices and climate, Spain remains a popular choice for those looking to buy a property abroad, according to new findings from GE Money Home Lending.

It topped a list in a survey carried out by the company regarding where people would want to live if they moved abroad, with 36% stating they would want to buy a property in Spain, reports Homes Worldwide.

A number of lifestyle areas impacted on this choice, the publication stated, such as the overall availability of food, plus the culture and accessibility of the country via travel.

In addition, Italy and France were popular because of the attractive nature of the cuisine offered, plus cheap travel links and revered cultures.

These countries came second and third in the poll, with respondents stating that they offered great prospects in terms of food.

Earlier this week, research from Bank of Scotland International claimed that Spain and France are the most popular choices for Britons living abroad.
