Spain 'offers lifestyle benefits'

People who move to Spain will be able to benefit from a number of lifestyle benefits, according to one expatriate.

Tom McGrath, a self-employed solicitor, told the Irish Independent that the country's favourable climate had a positive impact on residents' overall quality of life.

Speaking to the newspaper, he said people could enjoy warm and sunny weather for 12 months of the year, therefore allowing them to engage in more outdoor activities.

He commented: "You can go to the beach in January - you just feel healthier in general."

Mr McGrath added that people were also attracted by the convenience of Spain, as many airlines provided frequent and quick services to the country.

Last week, budget carrier Ryanair announced that it would begin offering new flights to Spain from Bournemouth Airport.

The airline will begin providing passage to destinations such as Alicante and Barcelona in April this year.
