Spain recommended to lifestyle buyers
Overseas property buyers have been advised not to be put off purchasing a residence in Spain.
According to Shelter Offshore, the European country has attracted negative press in recent months as a result of the downturn in the market.
However, the news provider said this has not impacted on Spain's lifestyle attributes, which means holiday home buyers and expats could still find it an ideal location.
Indeed, it believes they may even be able to purchase a home at a knock-down price as sellers have been forced to offer favourable deals.
Shelter Offshore commented: "Spain is still an attractive place to live.
"It is still a favourite with expats and retirees."
The website added that the continuing demand for rented accommodation in Spain could also boost the fortunes of those who own a buy-to-let property in the country.
This comes after Paul Collins of BuyAssociation stated that overseas property buyers could potentially snap up some "great deals" in Spain.
