Spain 'sees more tourists'
In the first half of the year Spanish tourism has seen increased popularity, when nearly 34 million visitors arrived there.
The largest number of tourists travelled from Britain, with 9.3 million of the overall visitors having come from the UK, reports Homes Worldwide.
Additionally, Spain saw increased attention from the US market, with a jump of 23.5% in visitors from the country, partially down to the Americas Cup in Valencia, the publication added.
Low-cost airlines have also contributed to the growth in tourism and accessibility, with a 24.1% increase in the number of people who chose to enter the country by these means.
This shows an increasing trend towards more independent methods of travel, Homes Worldwide said.
Such figures are for the first 7 months of the year.
Recent figures released by the Office for National Statistics stated that a record number of British people are choosing to move abroad.
