Spain 'set to offer healthy living'

Those with environmental concerns may wish to head for Spain after the government announced that millions of trees are to be planted in the country.

Madrid is set to benefit from this eco drive, with 1.5 million trees being planted in order to absorb greenhouse gases, in news reported by Homes Worldwide.

In addition, enforced building regulations now mean that property construction has to undergo tests before homes are built, the organisation reported.

Environment Councillor Jose Luis Martinez has also stated that the forested area in Castilla-La Mancha has also been increased to 5 million hectares.

Moreover, another 10,000 trees are set to be planted in the Basque Country in Spain's drive to be one of the greenest in Europe.

It is expected that the developments will lead to a greater living environment, news that may be of interest to potential property investors in any area of Spain.

Last week, it was reported that families are set to receive a cash incentive when children are born to boost the country's low birth rate.
