Spain set to see rising demand for property
British interest in Spain's housing market is likely to pick up again in the future, industry analysts have insisted.
According to Spanish Property Insight, issues such as declining house prices are affecting demand among foreign buyers.
However, the organisation's Mark Stucklin believes this period of uncertainty will pass, as the fundamental attractions of the country are still in place.
He commented: "The time will come when confidence comes back and the market will pick up again, at which point people will start buying again."
Mr Stucklin added that one good thing about the recent downturn is the fact that buyers are now doing more research into their purchases and the market.
This, he said, means it is no longer being "distorted" by people who perceived a Spanish property investment as an easy way of making money.
Earlier this week, Paul Collins of BuyAssociation stated that overseas property buyers could potentially snap up some "great deals" in Spain.
