Spain 'still attracting buyers'
Spanish property remains a popular choice for British people looking to combine sunshine getaways with an overseas investment opportunity, an expert has stated.
Liverpool-based property agent Ken Walker said that "no other country can quite compete" with Spain in terms of its popularity with UK investors, despite recent economic difficulties.
This is because the country is a "tried and tested location which has gained a long-standing reputation when it comes to savvy property investment", he told the Liverpool Echo.
The availability of quick and inexpensive flights from the UK, as well as the year-round warm climate and high quality beaches, makes Spain an enduring choice for British buyers.
Mr Walker also explained the benefits of buying off-plan in Spain, claiming it represents the best way for people to ensure "maximum choice for their property in terms of style, design and location".
Low-cost carrier Ryanair recently expanded its Spain routes, with new flights to Malaga from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and London Stansted now available.
