Spain still offers investment opportunities
Overseas property buyers have been informed that they can still find good investment opportunities in Spain.
The Daily Mail stated that the impact of the credit crunch and the slowdown in the market has been having a negative effect on the country's popularity among foreign investors.
However, the newspaper said shrewd buyers could still find good deals, especially if they are buying for lifestyle purposes.
The publication added that the problems currently facing the Spanish market do not apply to every part of the country.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Liam Bailey of Knight Frank said: "Spain has been one of the stronger performers in recent months."
He pointed out that although house prices in Madrid went up by just 2% last year, property values in Murcia increased by more than 8% during the same period.
Spain was recently identified as the most popular market among British property buyers by A Place in the Sun magazine.
