Spanish flights reinstated at Norwich
Consumers in East Anglia will soon be able to benefit from new flights between Norwich and Spain.
Routes to tourist hotspots such as Alicante were controversially axed by Flybe in July 2007.
However, the Norwich Evening News reports that this service is to be reintroduced by LTE International Airways later this year.
The budget airline will also offer flights from Norwich to Palma da Mallorca and Barcelona for the first time.
Commenting on this development, Richard Jenner of Norwich International Airport said it was "great news".
"They will go there all year round," he stated.
"Norwich is the only UK airport they are going to be flying from and they want to be the airline for Norwich when it comes to flying to Spain."
Mr Jenner added that the Barcelona flight will be particularly good for those who wish to travel to the Costa Brave and Costa Dorada.
The accessibility improvements are also likely to be welcomed by those who are looking to Spain for a potential property investment.
Spain was recently identified as the most popular market among British property buyers by A Place in the Sun magazine.
