Trend of rising property prices 'likely to continue'
Those making property investments in the UK are set to see prices increase in the coming months, according to an expert.
Managing director of haart Russell Jarvis explained that values are unlikely to fall, due to the levels of supply and demand currently being seen.
He was commenting after the Land Registry revealed that September saw a 0.9 per cent increase in the typical property price for England and Wales.
And Mr Jarvis predicted that statistics for October and November will see the trend continued, while those who have chosen buy-to-let property for investment purposes could benefit from further rises next year.
"We expect a five per cent growth as a minimum in 2010," he remarked.
The specialist went on to suggest that sales volumes will also recover and achieve steady growth, should sellers gain more confidence in the New Year.
House prices are now 5.6 per cent below the level of a year ago, the Land Registry data revealed.
