Tube-style transport network considered in Spain
Officials in a Spanish province have announced that they intend to redevelop its transport infrastructure.
The Andalusian government said it would base the new system on London's Tube network, as they saw it as an efficient and cost-effective means of transportation.
A delegation recently visited the UK capital in order to have a proper look at the Underground System, which is used by most of the city's working population.
The team of experts stated that the government was considering introducing a Tube-style network in areas such as Malaga, Granada and Seville.
This could be good news for overseas property investors in the region, as popular tourist areas will be made more easily accessible.
Such a scheme could also have a positive impact on reducing traffic in Andalusia, as many local people travel by car.
The London Underground network has been running in the city since 1863 and carries approximately 3 million passengers every day.
