Turkey attracts British visitors
Owners of rental accommodation in Turkey could be set to benefit from a lucrative summer season.
According to holiday firm Milestones, trips to the European country are proving to be very popular with British holidaymakers this year.
Matt Clapson, general manager of the company, believes this is partly because of the strength of the euro against the pound, as this has driven up the cost of taking a break inside the eurozone.
He commented: "Rising prices in continental Europe have to led to a surge in interest in non-euro countries such as Turkey."
This means that rental accommodation in hotspots such as Bodrum and Antalya is likely to be in high demand this summer.
As a result, investors who own property in these areas could be well-placed to benefit from strong rental yields.
The Association of British Travel Agents recently revealed that the number of summer bookings for trips to Turkey has gone up by 20 per cent this year.
