Turkey offers investment opportunities

Property investors in the UK have been encouraged to consider buying a residence in Turkey.

According to the Foreign Property Buyer website, the south-west coast of the country has just been opened up by low-cost airline easyJet.

The online portal said the service between Gatwick and Dalaman could potentially lead to greater rental demand across the region, as well as a surge in property prices.

Since 60,000 people are expected to visit the area during the next 12 months, it could be a potentially lucrative investment market for people to consider.

Foreign Property Buyer commented: "With the new low-cost flights now running, it is expected that many British buyers will flock to the area."

The website said Turkey's holiday industry is currently booming, adding that the country is tipped to receive about 27 million visitors this year.

This comes after government figures cited by TurkishPress.com revealed that the country attracted 1.7 million visitors during January and February this year.
