Turkey recommended to investors

Turkey has been highlighted as a potentially good spot for overseas investors by an online media outlet.

Foreign Property Buyer described the European country as a "land of promise" for those who are interested in investing in a residence outside of the UK.

The website highlighted a number of Turkey's positive attributes, such as the ease of access provided by low-cost airlines.

Commenting on the country, it said: "easyJet have started to fly into Istanbul and Harvey Nichols is about to open up a store there."

This, it stated, made Turkey a "prime location" for prospective investors in foreign property.

The website added that the possibility of the country entering the European Union meant there was "immense potential" for capital growth in property.

Foreign Property Buyer's comments come after official figures revealed that Turkey was attracting a growing number of foreign holidaymakers.

According to the Turkish Board of Statistics, the number of foreign arrivals last month was 15.4% up on the same period of 2006.
