Turkey recommended to rental investors

Prospective investors in foreign property have been advised to consider investing in the Turkish market.

UK-based newspaper the Telegraph said that the European country could be a worthwhile location because of its strong tourist sector.

This means that there is high demand for rental accommodation from visiting holidaymakers in the most popular resorts.

Therefore, property values are likely to rise in highly sought-after areas, giving the house a bigger sale price if it is sold on in the future.

In addition, investors would also be able to earn rental income from visiting tourists who are staying in the temporary residence.

Commenting on investment prospects in the country, the Telegraph said: "Booming tourism and high capital growth mean buy-to-let in Turkey is worth considering."

According to the Turkish Statistics Institute (TSI), there was a 25.6% surge in visitor numbers during the year to October 2007, reports the Reuters news agency.
