Turkey set for holiday boom
Turkey is set to continue attracting rental investors after an expert highlighted its growing popularity with tourists.
Doctor Michael Frenzel, chairman of German holiday firm TUI, said the company is planning to expand further into the country.
Speaking to the Turkish Daily News, he stated that 1.5 million booked a trip to Turkey with the organisation last year, placing it second only to Spain.
TUI is now aiming to build on this strong performance by attracting 2 million passengers this year.
This suggests that rental accommodation in Turkey will receive additional demand during the next few months.
Dr Frenzel commented: "Our Turkey sales are quite significant [and] we would like to expand more."
He added that the country is a "central and important" market for the organisation which has the capacity for further development.
Today's Zaman recently reported that Turkish tourist officials are aiming to attract 50 million visitors a year to the country by 2023.
