Turkey 'to become more popular'
The popularity of Turkey as an investment market is set to increase over the next year, according to an expert.
Paul Collins from the BuyAssociation website stated that different types of developments were emerging across the country, therefore broadening its appeal to a wider consumer base.
For example, he said that new golf developments were coming onto the market alongside traditional beachside villas.
He commented: "Some of the developers and agents are starting to look at some things that are a little bit more diverse, which is really interesting."
Mr Collins added that properties in the country were much cheaper than those in other Mediterranean locations, such as Greece and Portugal.
This, he stated, meant that the country offered "great opportunities" to those who entered the market early, as property values were currently rising.
As a result, investors would be likely to benefit from significant capital appreciation.
Earlier this week, property website HomeMove speculated that the growing interest in the country's housing market could lead to it seeing considerable growth over the next few years.
