Turkey tourism levels predicted to rise
Those investing in off-plan property in Turkey could be set to see tourism levels rise, it has been suggested.
Research company RNCOS has predicted that the country will become a major destination for foreign visitors, with 10 golf courses already attracting people from all over the world.
According to the firm, the first 7 months of the year saw a 1.1% increase in tourists compared to the same period in 2008, with 14.93 million visitors heading to Turkey despite the global economic downturn.
And investors may be able to take advantage of the trend, as RNCOS explained that people are "looking for recreational activities along with [an] exotic location to spend their leisure time".
The Turkish lira's decline against major European currencies was also identified as a factor in the growth in popularity.
Earlier this month, Didim Today noted that investment in property in Turkey could be set to increase after the government approved a new £22.8 million golf resort.
