Turkish flight opens up property hotspot

The introduction of new flights to a popular Turkish holiday resort could trigger a surge of foreign investment in the area, analysts have stated.

Earlier this month, British Airways launched a direct service between London Gatwick and Antalya International Airport.

According to Homes Worldwide, the improved access to the region is likely to create extra interest among foreign property buyers.

"This area is set to become a property hotspot", the website remarked, adding that prices are still relatively low at the moment.

Therefore, investors could be able to snap up a relative bargain before the extra demand drives up property values across the area.

Homes Worldwide added that since the tourist sector is now taking off in Antalya, the region could be good location for buy-to-let investors to consider.

The prediction comes soon after property author Dominic Whiting stated that growing tourism in Turkey is having a "hugely beneficial" effect on its property market.
