Turkish tourism 'has made remarkable progress'
A leading hotel chain has praised the development of the tourist industry in Turkey over the last few years.
According to Hilton International, the country has made "remarkable progress" in the recent past and is set to continue attracting more visitors, reports TurkishPress.com.
Wolfgang Neumann, area president for Europe and Africa, said he is particularly confident about the tourism sector's future prospects.
He outlined the hotel chain's plans to establish new outlets in the provinces of Kutayah, Bursa, Manisa and Diyarbakir over the next few years.
This suggests that these areas are already seeing strong demand for rental accommodation from holidaymakers.
As a result, they could be suitable locations for prospective buy-to-let investors to consider.
According to property author Dominic Whiting, efforts to attract more holidaymakers to Turkey are helping to enhance its appeal to foreign investors.
Mr Whiting stated that the holiday industry has had a "hugely beneficial" effect on the country's housing market, thereby making it a good option for overseas property buyers.
