US economic problems 'not affecting Brazil'

Economic problems in the US are not having a negative impact on South American nations such as Brazil, experts have stated.

According to Amberlamb, the country its "holding its own" despite a downturn in the US economy.

The organisation said Brazil has been able to weather the storm because it has diversified its own economy and is benefiting from high levels of foreign direct investment.

This has prompted it to predict that the country will attract greater levels of investment over the next few years, particularly in its housing market.

Amberlamb commented: "There are fantastic fiscal fundamentals supporting Brazil’s property sector."

The group added that the Brazilian government has worked "tirelessly" in the last five years to make the country's economy highly robust.

Brazil is also set to enjoy a number of economic benefits when it hosts the football World Cup in 2014.
